Curriculum

Syllabus and curriculum

RIS Follows the Syllabus and curriculum prescribed by the CBSE. The teaching methodology and focus on the processional growth of the teacher would be integrated with the CBSE curriculum through the analysis of concepts, customized resource kits and use of technology. The teaching process is customized to suit the needs of the learners with an emphasis on thinking skills, life skills and knowledge related to real life.

The curriculum of RIS takes on a student-centered approach, whereby children are involved in the learning process. Teachers ignite curiosity and the desire to learn rather than routinely push ideas; a methodology that turns learning into a combination of class-room study, research and scientific innovation.

Language is taught the way it should be. First the sounds of the vowels followed by the consonants are introduced to make the children familiarized with English speaking sounds. The numbers are also introduced using the decimal system and the children will be introduced to all the four mathematical operations by the time he/she finishes his/her third grade.

Approach

At RIS, every subject is taught the way it is best understood. For example the language learning begins with understanding of phonetic sounds, rather than by rote. Science is taught by doing and learning. Art forms are encouraged, as are sports and co-curricular activities. We inculcate a balanced development in both scholastic and co-scholastic areas.

We nurture the students with a fine blend of both academic expertise and real life problem solving abilities. Students are raised to attain a higher level of awareness, understanding and affinity with all living beings.

The teachers of RIS are deeply committed to the physical, emotional, academic and spiritual welfare of the students. Each child is attended to with diligence.
